The event brought together researchers from across Europe and North America to discuss how subnational actors navigate international relations, engage in diplomacy, and sometimes operate beyond the control or coordination of their national governments.
Some panels were moderated by Dr Joanna Ciesielska-Klikowska from our team, who also contributed to the lively discussions on the evolving landscape of city and regional diplomacy.
