The workshop "Paradiplomacy Through Interdisciplinary Lenses: Bridging Different Perspectives on International Cooperation of Regions and Cities", organized by Prof. Tomasz Kamiński, brought together nearly 20 scholars from universities across Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Participants exchanged perspectives on the growing role of regions and cities in global affairs, exploring paradiplomacy from political science, international relations, urban studies or memory studies viewpoints.
Paradiplomacy Lab members contributed with three presentations:
-
Prof. Tomasz Kamiński discussed Paradiplomacy as a Challenge to Mainstream IR Theories.
-
Dr. Joanna Ciesielska-Klikowska presented on Networked Paradiplomacy. Mapping Substate Diplomatic Networks.
-
Natalia Matiaszczyk shared her research on Memory As a Tool of Paradiplomacy.
The discussions highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary approaches for understanding paradiplomacy and opened new avenues for collaborative research between scholars from different regions of the world.
