We are pleased to announce that a research team led by Prof. Tomasz Kamiński has been awarded a prestigious OPUS grant from the National Science Centre for the project “Participation of Cities in Development Cooperation.”
This new project seeks to investigate the potential of cities as actors in decentralized development cooperation (DDC). Although cities are often able to respond more rapidly and directly to local and global challenges, their contributions to development efforts are still poorly understood. The project aims to fill that critical knowledge gaps by analyzing the involvement of cities as donors in development cooperation, identifying patterns, motivations, and challenges of their engagement.
The project will be carried out by members of the Paradiplomacy Lab in collaboration with the University of Szczecin.
